1st October

The guest on this show was Rod Stewart promoting his new album. His attire was a bit eclectic because he had an injury – so one foot was in a walking boot, and the other in a fluffy tartan slipper!

Countryfile – 30th September 2018

This was another show in which Matt only appeared in relation to the Countryfile Ramble for Children in Need. This was the week in which he introduced his rambling partner for the year – Josh – a young man with Neimann-Pick disease (type C). It’s a nasty neurodegenerative disease where sadly if it’s diagnosed in a young person it means a limited lifespan is likely with worsening symptoms (they’re similar to Alzheimers in some ways).

Josh – who is from Milton Keynes – is living his life as fully as possibly so was looking forward to this new challenge. After all, earlier this year he’d participated in a charity wrestling match!

It was One Man and His Dog week which is great to watch and listen to but doesn’t make for many pictures to share!

17th September

The guests were actors Jonathan Pryce and Dame Eileen Atkins promoting their new play. Also Eric Monkman and Bobby Seagull (of University Challenge fame) were on to talk about their new travel documentary.

Countryfile – 16th September 2018

Matt made only a short appearance on the show this week. He was presenting another ramble story and introduction – at that time of year he seems to do this as they’re easy to put together and it gives him more time to train up for his Children in Need work.

Matt wasn’t on the show on the 11th of September so it’s straight on to the Wednesday programme.
