The One Show – January 16th 2017

On Monday the 16th of January the show featured Emily Watson & Ben Chaplin who were on promoting the new BBC drama “Appletree Yard”

Matt was looking a bit Countryfile as he was wearing a checked shirt from Joules

Had a fabulous close up of Chris Pine that made me want to resurrect an old school editing technique. As I was on my iPad I hit Pixelmator to do this.

1. Import your image
2. Duplicate the layer
3. Convert the top layer to black & white. Normally at this point you’ll want to tweak contrast at least but maybe colour balance too in order to get a good effect
4. Using an eraser tool cut out parts of the top layer to reveal the colour beneath

And I didn’t touch the eye colour here, they’re just that blue

Countryfile – 15th January 2017

It’s the 15th of January and Countryfile came from Carmarthenshire where Matt visited the coastal area near Pembrey where a munitions factory existed during World War One. As well as helping to dig out some of the old tunnels, Matt got to play with a digger in the sand dunes.

The One Show – 12th January 2017

It was a “Death in Paradise” show on the 12th of January with guests Don Warrington and Kris Marshall (who has now been replaced by Ardal O’Hanlon). This show also featured the show hairdresser visiting Narborough Road in my home town of Leicester and once again made me proud of how cosmopolitan my city is
